The Sunday Board vs DraftKings betting groups
DraftKings has offered betting groups inside its sportsbook app. The Sunday Board is a separate, free board for a group's picks from any sportsbook, plus picks with no money on them. Which fits depends mostly on where your friends place their bets.
Free. No sportsbook login. Works in any browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and casts to a TV.
DraftKings groups, as reported
As described in 2023, a Social tab in the DraftKings app let you create private or public groups. Members' DraftKings bets posted to the group automatically, and the group had chat and a points leaderboard. As described, it covers bets placed at DraftKings. We couldn't confirm how the feature works today, so check DraftKings for what's current.
Where DraftKings groups are stronger
- No typing when everyone bets at DraftKings: bets post to the group on their own.
- Chat in the same app people already use.
Where The Sunday Board is different
- Any sportsbook. Friends at different books share one board.
- Friends who don't bet can join in with friendly picks, or add one from the guest QR code with no account.
- Not a sportsbook. No sportsbook account is needed to join a board, and it takes no bets.
- On the TV. TV mode and Big text for watching together.
- Grades itself from ESPN's live scores, whatever book a bet came from.
