An OfficeFootballPool alternative with no money involved
OfficeFootballPool's own dashboard and app have been discontinued, and its contests now run on Splash Sports, a real-money contest platform. If your office or friend group just wants one place for everyone's football picks and a running tally of who's ahead, with no entry fees, The Sunday Board is a free option.
Free. No sportsbook login. Works in any browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and casts to a TV.
What happened to OfficeFootballPool
Splash Sports acquired RunYourPool and OfficeFootballPool. According to Splash's help center, OfficeFootballPool's dashboard and app are discontinued and every contest now runs on Splash, where contests carry entry fees. Groups that never wanted money involved need somewhere else to keep their picks.
How The Sunday Board works for a group
- One shared board for the group. Each person gets a column; friends without an account can be added as guests.
- Any sportsbook, or none. Log a bet from any book, or a friendly pick with no money behind it. Type it in, or have it read a bet slip from a screenshot.
- No sportsbook login or password. It never connects to a sportsbook account.
- Grades itself from live scores. Moneylines, spreads, totals, player props, parlays and many sportsbook specials settle from ESPN's live scores and box scores.
- Made for game day on a TV. TV mode and Big text make the board readable across the room, and a guest QR code lets anyone there add a pick without an account.
- Season standings. A season record for everyone, a leaderboard and a trophy case.
- Free. NFL and college football.
The Sunday Board is a tracker. It doesn't take bets, hold money, pay out prizes or give picks: people log the bets they already made somewhere else, plus any friendly picks with nothing riding on them.
| OfficeFootballPool (now on Splash) | The Sunday Board | |
|---|---|---|
| Money | Real-money contests with entry fees | None. Free, and nothing is paid in or out |
| Format | Structured pools: pick'em, survivor, squares | Each person's own picks on one shared board, plus bets logged from any sportsbook |
| Scoring | Pools are scored automatically | Every pick grades itself from ESPN's live scores |
| Sports | Football plus other sports and events, such as golf and March Madness | NFL and college football |
When a pick'em game fits better
If your group wants a classic weekly grid, where everyone picks every game and a commissioner sets the rules and confidence points, a dedicated pick'em game does exactly that. Free ones include ESPN's Pigskin Pick'em and the Yahoo and CBS pick'em games. The Sunday Board doesn't have a pool format: it's a board of each person's own picks, graded as the games finish.
